National Glory

Scooter racing in Australasia is still in its infancy, presenting any player the chance of national glory.

As Kickbiking expands, official race meets will multiply, culminating in the selection of an Australian team to compete in the World Cup and also World Championships.

The Governing body of our sport is the International  Kicksled and Scooter Association (IKSA). They aim to take us to the Olympics. Given that Kicksledding appeared as a demo sport in the winter Olympics, they're kicking goals.

If you think yér butt's seen better days, take head. Most competitors in Europe are aged 30+ and they look a treat.

Race Details

Event: Racing in the Southern Hemisphere is still to get underway.  In Europe they already hold a bi-annual Eurocup series and now in the alternate year they now hold the World Champs, the first being held in 2004. Both these events are incorporated in the World Cup 4 race series every year.

There has been no Southern Hemisphere representation at any of these events, so we are looking to add Kickbiking to Australia's list of competitive sports. We have applied to hold a World Cup event here in Australia.

His kicking time was 12hrs 15minutes. Well done Phil. Both Phil Summers and Bruce Cook completed the 100km event on the same day, in 5hrs 8min. Well done to all, but we would love to have some other crazy characters join us next year.
